The Holy Bible: Translated from the Latin Vulgate: Douay-Rheims Version
The Douay-Rheims Bible is based on the Latin Vulgate, which is based on Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek manuscripts. The Vulgate was primarily the result of the work of Saint Jerome (345-420), whose translation was acknowledged by the Council of Trent as the proper Latin version of the Bible.
