This book is written for young readers and for grownup readers with youthful minds alike. The deepest desire of the author is that Nevie, his grandniece, and all those who read these letters may find in Jesus 'the way, the truth, and the life.'
This book is written for adult readers, but takes some of its form from a younger person. It looks for grownup readers with youthful minds.
Let me explain. Nevie, a grandniece and now a teenager, has always been a very special person for me. In 2013, she chose to join her older sister and go off to boarding school. I felt a little worried that she might be lonely and started sending her a letter every week or two. On my own journey, I have received constant light and strength from my faith in Jesus Christ, a faith expressed through the inspired Scriptures, practiced in regular prayer and service to others, and enlivened through receiving Holy Communion and the other sacraments.
My deepest desire for Nevie and for those who read these letters is that they too may find in Jesus 'the way, the truth, and the life.'
