The Church at the Heart of the World is a collection of poems seeking to respond to movements, persons, events, and ideas in Church and world at the present time. Also, some sound institutions, firm beliefs, and a way of direction and hope, are fashioned into worldpictures of poetic art.
A sense of place, fine monuments of God and the Blessed Virgin, views of earth, and a sweep of cosmos illumine a broad space. A western vista focuses on the author's homeland, where people, culture, and community appear, and reflect a certain Catholicity of the heart, and a Church living in the centre of the World.
