Faith and life entwined, prayer and action inseparable, these poems are a celebration of the true spirit of Catholicism, faith incarnated in the everyday, enhancing the stuff of life, family, friendship, farming, football, and more. The reader will be drawn to muse on a landscape that speaks of God whose closeness to us is reflected not only in the Shrine of Knock but across faith-filled centuries of local saints and hallowed places.
The poems and commentary contained in this booklet deal with the famous Shrine of Our Lady in Knock. Some reflections are made on Marian veneration, and on outstanding people of deep devotion to Our Lady. There are also poems on the sorrounding context, the western landscape, and neighbouring counties, giving a sense of place, imaginative freshness, and prayer accompaniment to the central focus of the Holy Trinity and Mary, with the angels and saints.
